FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup: Flamingos drawn with Canada and France in Group D

Nigeria’s U17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, have been placed in Group D for the upcoming FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

The official draw took place on Wednesday in Rabat, Morocco, where Nigeria was grouped with Canada, France, and Samoa.

This edition marks a historic milestone as, for the first time, 24 teams will participate in the tournament. It will be the ninth edition of the competition since its inception 17 years ago in New Zealand.

Group A: Morocco, Brazil, Italy, Costa Rica

Group B: Korea DPR, Mexico, Cameroon, Netherlands

Group C: United States, Ecuador, China, Norway

Group D: Nigeria, Canada, France, Samoa

Group E: Spain, Colombia, Korea Republic, Cote d’Ivoire

Group F: Japan, New Zealand, Zambia, Paraguay
