The president of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot), Samuel Eto’o, has been heavily sanctioned by FIFA.
Due to his attitude during the Cameroon’s game at the U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, Eto’o was alleged to have violated the articles 13 and 14 of the FIFA disciplinary code.
“The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned the President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto’o, with a six-month ban from attending matches of Cameroonian representative teams for violation of Articles 13 (Offensive behaviour and violation of the principles of fair play) and 14 (Misconduct of players and officials) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code ,”FIFA statement said.
The former Barcelona star was earlier in the year alleged to have involved in the manipulation of local matches which he was cleared by CAF and the association with a sports betting company for which he was fined around 185,000 euros by the African football governing body.
