FIFA has confirmed that the draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place on December 5 in Las Vegas, United States.

The 2026 tournament, which will feature an expanded 48-team format, is jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The draw will see teams divided into 12 groups of four nations each.

Interestingly, this won’t be the first time Las Vegas hosts a World Cup draw. In 1994, the city staged the draw for the tournament, despite not being a host city a scenario that repeats itself for the 2026 edition.

The event is expected to be held at a 17,500-seat venue that opened in 2023, boasting an impressive 54,000-square-meter screen, making it the ideal choice for the high-profile ceremony.
