Nigeria’s D’Tigress bounced back to winning ways with a 101–84 victory over the Philippines in their third game at the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament on Saturday.

The African champions were coming off a 77–60 defeat to Colombia in their previous game on Thursday and started slowly against the Philippines.

The Asian side claimed the first quarter 25–21 and maintained their momentum to take a nine-point lead into halftime at 51–42.

However, Nigeria responded strongly after the break. D’Tigress dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Philippines 34–21 to overturn the deficit and seize control of the contest.

Rena Wakama’s side continued their dominance in the final period, winning the quarter 25–12 to seal an emphatic victory and surpass the 100-point mark.

D’Tigress will next face France on Sunday before concluding their qualifying campaign against Germany on Monday.
