Galatasaray captain and goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera, has expressed his gratitude for having Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen in the team.
The Red and Yellow secured a 2-1 victory over Rizespor on Monday, with Osimhen netting both goals to seal the win.
Speaking after the match, Muslera praised the Super Eagles forward for his determination and work ethic.
“He really puts in a lot of effort and fights every minute. He never gives up. We are all grateful to play alongside a player like him,” Muslera said.
“We knew that with the right support, we could achieve something special. Today, he scored the goals that gave us the victory. In the second half, we found our rhythm and capitalized effectively on a set piece.”
Galatasaray will now turn their focus to Thursday’s UEFA Europa League play-off second-leg clash against AZ Alkmaar.
