The Europa League Round of 16 draw has set up an exciting clash between Bright Osayi-Samuel’s Fenerbahce and a Rangers side featuring Cyriel Dessers and Leon Balogun.
The draw, conducted on Friday, also revealed other fixtures involving Nigerian players. Viktoria Plzen, with Rafiu Durosinmi, will take on Lazio, where Fisayo Dele-Bashiru plies his trade. Meanwhile, Olympiacos, who signed Bruno Onyemaechi in the January transfer window, will go head-to-head with Bodo/Glimt.
Manchester United will face Real Sociedad in another key matchup, while AS Roma are set to battle Athletic Bilbao. Other pairings include FCSB vs. Lyon, AZ Alkmaar vs. Tottenham Hotspur, and Ajax vs. Eintracht Frankfurt.
The first-leg matches are scheduled for March 6, with the return fixtures taking place on March 13, 2025.
