Erling Haaland made waves again at Manchester City, the Norwegian striker secured the club victory over Southampton on Saturday and provisionally topped the Premier League.
Haaland scored for Manchester City after just five minutes. The 24-year-old striker, falling and with some luck, tipped a Matheus Nunes cross into the net at the far post. Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale had no chance.
For Haaland it was already his fourteenth goal of the season in thirteen games for Manchester City.
Southampton tried to force an equalizer in the final phase, but Manchester City’s defense held firm.
Mark Flekken and Sepp van den Berg won a spectacle with Brentford against Ipswich Town: 4-3. Brentford was 0-2 behind after half an hour, but in a period of two minutes Brentford came back to 2-2. In injury time the home team scored the winning goal.
Dutch-tinged Brighton & Hove Albion gave away a 2-0 lead in the final phase of the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers and drew 2-2.
Beto’s late minute goal gave Everton FC well deserved 1-1 against Fulham FC as they continue their resurgence, Nigerian International Alex Iwobi scored Fulham ‘s goal.
