Ahead of the crucial opening league game against Chelsea, Pep Guadiola has confirmed the absence of star midfielder Rodri for Manchester City.
The Spanish international was one of the key players for the club last season and his influence ensured that the Citizens retained the title.
He was also instrumental to Spain winning the 2024 European Championship in Germany where he was named the Most Valuable Player.
During a press conference on Friday, Pep made it clear that Rodri is yet to train with the team and his unavailable.
” He has zero training session with us, he’s not ready”, he confirmed.
Chelsea will host Manchester City at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
