Victor Osimhen’s decisive goal that sealed Galatasaray’s 1-0 victory over Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League has sparked major reactions across England.
Former England striker and popular pundit Gary Lineker used his post-match analysis to issue an apology to the Nigerian forward.
“I want to apologize to Victor Osimhen. In the past, I said he sometimes went missing on the pitch, but I was completely wrong. I shouldn’t have made those comments that’s on me,” Lineker admitted.
The ex-England international also heaped praise on Osimhen’s qualities: “He’s quick, tall, an excellent finisher, and very strong in the air. He’s truly a top-class striker.”
