Egypt has been confirmed as the host nation for the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations after Ivory Coast withdrew from organizing the tournament.
Ivory Coast was initially awarded the hosting rights, but the country’s government declined the offer on Wednesday.
Following an executive meeting of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Egypt agreed to step in as the new host for the biennial competition.
The tournament will kick off on April 27, 2025, with the final set to take place on May 18, 2025.
