The interim coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Austin Eguavoen has undergone a successful surgery in Belgium.
The former defender has been unavailable in recent time and he was in Belgium to have a surgery.
The surgery has suffered several postponement to due to his involvement in the Super Eagles African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Eguavoen decided to hand over the home based Eagles to the duo of Fidelis Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogunmodede and proceeded to Belgium.
It’s yet to be seen if he will be on the bench for the reverse fixture of the 2024 Championship of African Nations qualifier against Ghana on Sunday.
