Despite securing the maximum points, the interim coach of the Super Eagles Austin Eguavoen was not happy the team not scoring more goals against the Libyans.

The late minute goals from Fisayo Dele-Bashiru secured a lone goal victory for the Super Eagles in the day 3 of the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier.

The manager was happy about the win but thought they should have scored more goals.

“I expected us to score more goals, overall we are happy to maintain our top spot.

“I was feeling bad, but we kept pushing & progressing.

“Emotions were high. Libya defended in numbers & we are happy to win”, he said.
