Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, have announced their final 12-player roster for the 29th FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Championship.
The squad includes: Promise Amukamara, Ezinne Kalu, Elizabeth Balogun, Amy Okonkwo, Nicole Enabosi, Pallas Kunayi, Victoria Macaulay, Vera Ojenuwa, Blessing Ejiofor, Ifunaya Okoro, Sarah Ogoke, and Murjanatu Musa.
The tournament, which will feature 12 nations competing for continental supremacy, marks another opportunity for Nigeria to assert its dominance.
D’Tigress enter the competition as defending champions, having beaten Senegal 84–74 in the 2023 final in Kigali, Rwanda.
They also lifted the title against Senegal in 2017 and 2019, and overpowered Mali in the 2021 final, underlining their dominance in African women’s basketball over the past decade.
