Valencia manager Carlos Corberan believes Sadiq Umar’s goal against Ourense in the Copa del Rey will significantly boost the Nigerian forward’s confidence.
Valencia secured a 2-0 victory over Ourense on Tuesday, with Sadiq scoring in the 78th minute to help seal the win.
Corberan commended the striker for his clinical finish, stating, “He’s always close to the goal. He made a great individual effort to score an important goal, and that will definitely boost his confidence to score many more.”
The coach also expressed satisfaction with Sadiq’s overall performance, saying, “I’m happy with the minutes he played, as they will help him grow as a player. Goals are crucial for forwards to build confidence, and that’s important for them to continue contributing to the team.”
