Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been nominated for the Best Goalkeeper award in France’s Arkema Premier League for the 2024/25 season.

Nnadozie is the reigning holder of the award, having clinched it last season ahead of Olympique Lyon’s Christiane Endler and Paris Saint-Germain’s Katarzyna Kiedrzynek.

She also made history as the first African — and Nigerian — to win both the league’s Best Goalkeeper award and the National Union of Professional Footballers’ (UNFP) top goalkeeper prize in French women’s football.

This season, the Paris FC star faces stiff competition from PSG’s Mary Earps and Lyon’s Endler for the prestigious individual honor. So far, Nnadozie has recorded 10 clean sheets, while Endler leads with 13 and Earps follows with eight.

Since her move to France in 2020 from Rivers Angels, Nnadozie has cemented her place among Europe’s elite shot-stoppers. She has also been named Africa’s Best Goalkeeper at the CAF Awards for two consecutive years.
