Leeds United have confirmed the signing of CHAN Eagles defender Leonard Ngenge, who has joined the club’s Academy on a deal running until the end of the 2026/27 season.

The highly rated centre-back makes the switch to West Yorkshire from Nigeria, where he featured for Nigeria Premier Football League side Remo Stars FC.

Ngenge made seven appearances in all competitions for the Sky Blue Stars during the current campaign, earning plaudits for his composure and defensive awareness.

At international level, Ngenge has already tasted senior football, having earned two caps for Nigeria. He made his debut in a clash against Senegal last year before also featuring in a fixture against Sudan.

Leeds United believe the addition of the Nigerian defender will further strengthen their Academy setup as the club continues to invest in young talents with international experience.
