Super Eagles Team B coach, Eric Chelle, has revealed the reasons behind his side’s 4-0 loss to Sudan in their 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) clash on Tuesday.
Chelle could only watch as Kwesi Appiah’s Sudanese side dismantled Nigeria, eliminating them from the tournament. An own goal from Leonard Ngenge, strikes from Walieldin Khedr, and a brace from Abdel Raouf sealed Sudan’s emphatic win.
The defeat followed Nigeria’s 1-0 loss to Senegal in their opening game last week.
In his post-match remarks, Chelle admitted his team’s costly errors proved decisive.
> “We made a lot of mistakes and completely gave up the game in the second half,” he said.
“Four goals, four mistakes. We committed too many errors in both games against Senegal and Sudan.”
