The draw for the semi-finals of this season’s Carabao Cup was conducted on Wednesday night, following the conclusion of the quarter-final fixtures.
The draw came after Newcastle United secured a dramatic 2–1 victory over Fulham, courtesy of a late header from Lewis Miley at St James’ Park. The win sealed the Magpies’ place in the last four.
Earlier on Wednesday, Manchester City recorded a 2–0 win over Brentford at the Etihad Stadium, while Chelsea had already booked their semi-final spot with a 2–0 victory against Cardiff City on Tuesday.
Defending champions Newcastle United have been drawn against Manchester City in one of the semi-final clashes. In the other tie, Chelsea will face the winner of the Arsenal versus Crystal Palace quarter-final.
The first legs of the semi-finals are scheduled for the week commencing January 12, with the return legs set to be played in the week of February 2, 2026.
