Enyimba FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Al-Masry in their CAF Confederation Cup clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
The Egyptian side took an early lead, capitalizing on poor defending to score from a well-executed set piece within the first ten minutes.
Although Ifeanyi Ihemekwele equalized for Enyimba, the visitors managed to hold on for a crucial point away from home.
Following this result, Enyimba’s hopes of securing second place remain alive. A victory in Egypt, coupled with a result between Black Bulls and Al-Masry, could see Enyimba through to the next stage.
Enyimba will face Zamalek, while Black Bulls take on Al-Masry in their respective upcoming fixtures in Egypt.
