The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the Team of the Tournament for the just-concluded 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which was hosted in Morocco.
The selection reflects the strong performances of the competition’s top finishers, with three countries champions Senegal, runners-up Morocco, and third-placed Nigeria dominating the final XI.
Tournament winners Senegal led the way with four players included in the team, underlining their impressive and consistent displays en route to lifting the continental title.
Hosts Morocco also had four players selected, following their remarkable run to the final and a series of standout performances throughout the tournament.
Nigeria, who secured third place, contributed three players to the Team of the Tournament, a recognition of the Super Eagles’ resilience and quality during the competition.
