Ahead of the upcoming Confederation of African Football (CAF) election, the organization has revealed the candidates who will compete for key positions.
Former Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Melvin Pinnick is among the prominent figures who made the final list for the FIFA Elective Council.
Other notable candidates for the FIFA Elective Council include Fouzi Lekja (Morocco), Augustin Senghor (Senegal), and Andrew Kamanga (Zambia), among others.
However, Samuel Eto’o, president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), did not make the cut. Despite expressing interest in running for the CAF presidency, Eto’o will not be included in the upcoming election lineup, leaving Patrice Motsepe as one of the leading candidates for the position.
