Samuel Eto’o Fils, president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), has officially appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) following his disqualification from the upcoming CAF elections.

The former Indomitable Lions striker was among the candidates vying for the CAF presidency, but his name was notably absent from the list of qualified candidates released in January by the continent’s football governing body.

According to reports from Cameroon, Eto’o is challenging CAF’s decision and is seeking CAS’s intervention to overturn the disqualification, allowing him to participate in next month’s elections.
