The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced the final shortlist for the 2025 CAF Awards.
In the Men’s Player of the Year category, the final three nominees are Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray/Nigeria), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool/Egypt), and Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain/Morocco).
Osimhen claimed the award in 2023, while his Nigerian teammate Ademola Lookman picked it up last year.
On the women’s side, Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has made the final cut for the Women’s Player of the Year award. She will compete against Morocco duo Ghizlane Chebbak and Sanaa Mssoudy.
The 2025 CAF Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 19, in Rabat, Morocco.
