Bundesliga: Bayern Munich goes top, as Leverkusen pick a win

Bayer Leverkusen had a good dress rehearsal for the Champions League match against Feyenoord on Saturday and secured 1-4 at Hoffenheim.

Bayern Munich scored six times against promoted Holstein Kiel.

After 35 consecutive league games without defeat, Bayer Leverkusen’s impressive run ended two weeks ago against RB Leipzig

The response in Hoffenheim was convincing. After half an hour, the reigning national champions were already leading 0-2 with goals from Martin Terrier and Victor Boniface.

Hoffenheim did restore the tension before half-time via Mergim Berisha.

In the last twenty minutes, Bayer Leverkusen extended their lead to 1-4 thanks to goals from Florian Wirtz (penalty) and Boniface.

Bayern Munich beat Holstein Kiel and are the new leaders in the Bundesliga.

The Bavarians won 6-1 with from Harry Kane made a hat-trick.

Myron Boadu scored his first goal for VfL Bochum, but it was to no avail. The former AZ striker lost 2-1 at SC Freiburg.

Boadu opened the scoring for the visitors just before half-time, but two goals from Junior Adamu ensured the home team won.
