Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Nathan Tella is eager to stage a comeback into the Super Eagles.
The skillful midfielder received his first call-up to the Super Eagles during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
The former Burnley star made his debut for the Super Eagles in the 1-1 away draw against the Warriors of Zimbabwe.
The versatile winger has not been called up by the three-time African champions since then.
“Of course, it’s an honor to represent your country, but I have to play here more to get the recognition to play with the country,” he told OmaSports TV.
” I think it’s all about the right steps: keep getting better, keep improving and if I continue to do the right things, I hope Nigeria will call me back.”
