FIBA Africa has increased the number of teams that would qualify automatically to the 2025 African Basketball League ( BAL) from 6 to 8 and 4 teams will qualify from the road to the tournament proper.
The organiser also announced that South Africa will host the Playoffs and Finals while we would have new hosts for two.
BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda has been the host venue for the Championship since inception.
There will also be a new venue for the Conference playoff.
Senegal, Morocco and Rwanda has hosted the conferences in the past.
