Babaganaru resigns as Akwa United coach

The coach of the Nigeria Premier Football League side Akwa United Muhammad Babaganaru has announced his resignation from the team.

The Promise Keepers has been struggling since the start of the 2024/2025 season of the league.

The former Kano Pillars manager tendered his letter of resignation following the team 1-1 home draw against Bendel Insurance on Monday.

The reason for his resignation was not stated but it’s connected to the poor performance of the team.

The Promise Keepers has managed to record four wins, four draws and eight defeats in 16 games this season.

Akwa United are 19th on the league table with
16 points.
