Atalanta head coach Ivan Juric has called on Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman to maintain his renewed positive attitude and focus on helping the team, following the collapse of his move to Inter Milan.
Lookman had reportedly submitted a transfer request and skipped training sessions after Atalanta rejected Inter’s €40 million plus add-ons bid during the summer window. However, the 27-year-old was later reintegrated into the squad after showing improved commitment and professionalism.
The winger recently featured for Nigeria in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho, and Juric is hopeful he will bring that same mindset back to the club.
“I hope he returns from international duty with the same attitude I saw in the last two or three weeks,” Juric told Sport Mediaset. “He showed a great attitude really positive and I want to make up for the time we lost over the summer. He’s not yet at his best, but I believe the right spirit will get him there.”
