Arsenal have reached an agreement with the team manager Mikel Arteta on a new, three-year contract.
Arteta’s current deal expires at the end of this season, so it has long been a priority for Arsenal to get paper on the Spanish coach several years into the future.
The parties have agreed on the contract extension, which, however, has not been confirmed from the official team yet.
42-year-old Arteta has been head coach of Arsenal since December 2019.
Last season, Arsenal finished second in the Premier League just two points behind Manchester City.
