KRC Genk striker Tolu Arokodare has been crowned the winner of the 2025 Ebony Shoe award, an honor presented to the best African player or player of African descent in the Belgian Pro League.
Arokodare earned the accolade following a stellar 2024/25 season, during which he notched 22 goals and provided seven assists for Genk.
The 24-year-old beat out stiff competition from Union St. Gilloise’s Noah Sidiki, Genk teammate Zakaria El Ouahdi, Union Saint-Gilloise forward Promise David, and fellow Nigerian Raphael Onyedika.
He joins a prestigious list of past Nigerian winners, including Daniel Amokachi, Victor Ikpeba, Celestine Babayaro, and Godwin Okpara.
