Newly crowned Copa America champions Argentina retained the top spot in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday.
The FIFA World Cup reigning champions proved their mettle once again in the just concluded Copa America in the United States to retain the title they won 2 years ago.
According to the latest ranking released, Argentina garnered 1901.48 points to remain on top of the standings.
France retained its second position with the new European champions Spain claiming the 3rd position.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Super Eagles dropped one spot to the 39th position compared to the 38th position it occupied in the previous ranking.
