Former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua has been released from the hospital after doctors confirmed he is clinically fit to continue his recovery from home.
The British-Nigerian boxer was earlier admitted for medical observation, but has since been cleared following a positive assessment of his condition. No further details were disclosed regarding the nature of his hospital stay.
Shortly after his discharge, Joshua traveled to Lagos, where he and his mother paid a condolence visit to a funeral home to honor the memories of two of his close friends, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele.
Described as “heavy-hearted and emotional,” Joshua was visibly affected as he paid his final respects, reflecting the deep personal loss he has suffered following their deaths.
The visit underscored the strong personal bonds the boxer shared with the deceased, both of whom were said to be close to him for many years.
Joshua, a former unified heavyweight champion, has often spoken about the importance of family, loyalty, and mental strength, values that have remained central to his life both inside and outside the ring.
He is expected to continue his recovery privately while receiving support from family and close associates.
