Andy Murray will play his last tennis tournament in Paris, the 37-year-old Scot will end his fine career after the Olympic Games.
Murray is a two-time Olympic champion, in 2012, he won Olympic gold on the grass at Wimbledon in London and four years later he repeated that feat in Rio de Janeiro.
He also won three Grand Slam tournaments: two Wimbledon (2013 and 2016) and one US Open (2012).
“I have arrived in Paris for my last ever tennis tournament,” Murray writes on X.
“Playing for Great Britain has provided by far the most memorable weeks of my career.
I am immensely proud to be doing this one last time.”
Murray said goodbye to Wimbledon earlier this month, where he and his brother Jamie were stranded in the first round of the doubles, on a packed Centre Court. After the match, images of Murray were shown and players such as Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams also thanked the Scot for his fine tennis career.
