Andre Onana’s wife, Melanie Kamayou, was reportedly robbed of a luxury handbag and a Rolex watch during an incident in Alderley Edge, a village south of Manchester.

The robbery occurred on March 29 in the car park of an Italian restaurant.

Kamayou had a £62,000 Hermès Birkin handbag and a Rolex taken during the incident.

Liam Ross, 25, from the Wisbey area of Bradford, has been charged in connection with the robbery.

He appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday and faces additional charges related to the supply of cannabis. He is set to appear at Chester Crown Court next month.

Kamayou, a businesswoman and philanthropist, married Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana in 2023.

She also serves as the co-chair of the Andre Onana Foundation, which offers free medical care to underserved communities in Africa.

Onana is currently in his second season at Manchester United, having joined the club from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023.
