Rasheedat Ajibade, Super Falcons captain, has stated that playing at the Olympic Games is a dream come true for her.

The Atletico Madrid Feminine forward was one of the 18 players listed by coach Randy Waldrum to represent the country in the Paris 2024 Games.

While speaking to the NFF TV, the former FC Robo attacker was excited about making the team to Paris.

“Yes, Olympics, it’s the first time for most of us, we are excited, maybe that’s why we all pumped up,” Ajibade said.

“We are ready and we can’t wait to be there.

“It’s a dream come true, I believe a lot of players in their career want to be in this kind of atmosphere, get to this level but they never achieve that.

“For achieving this feat is great, playing at the World. Cup and now getting the chance to play at the Olympics is a dream come true for me and my teammates.”

Falcons will open their campaign in Paris against Brazil and the game is slated for Stade Bordeaux on Thursday, July 25, 2024.

Nigeria’s other matches in the group phase are against Spain (July 28) and Japan (July 31), both at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes.
