Newly capped defender Felix Agu is setting his sights on securing a spot in Nigeria’s World Cup squad while also targeting the next Africa Cup of Nations title with the Super Eagles.
The Werder Bremen star, who made his debut for Nigeria in May during the Unity Cup in London, expressed his ambition to achieve success on the international stage.
“On a personal level, achieving something with the national team is even bigger than at the club level,” Agu said. “The goal is not just to make the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, but to win it. Everyone wants to see Nigeria on the biggest stage, and qualifying for the World Cup next year is a priority. We’ll give it our best to make that happen.”
