The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has unveiled a 20-player provisional squad for the 2025 FIBA Women’s Afrobasket Championship scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast this summer.

The list features a strong blend of experienced players and exciting new prospects, including the core group that lifted the 2023 Afrobasket title in Kigali, Rwanda.

Leading the roster are seasoned stars Ezinne Kalu and Promise Amukamara, alongside Besiktas standout Amy Okonkwo.

Nicole Enabosi and Lauren Ebo also retain their spots, while Victoria Macaulay makes a long-awaited return to the national setup.

There is a second call-up for Solape Amusan, with Grace Efosa earning her first invitation under coach Rena Wakama. Defensive anchors Pallas Kunaiyi and Murjanatu Musa are ever-present, alongside key names such as Elizabeth Balogun, Ifunaya Okoro, Olawuyi Adenike, Christabel Ezumah, Vera Ojenuwa, Izoje Uche, Gift Uchenna, Ugonne Onyiah, Blessing Ejiofor, and Abiodun Damilola Yusuf.

Reigning champions D’Tigress, under the leadership of coach Wakama, will aim to secure a record-extending fifth consecutive continental title when they arrive in the Francophone nation later this summer.
