Nigeria’s Flying Eagles head coach, Aliyu Zubairu, has affirmed that his team will develop a concrete strategy to counter Morocco’s in-form U20 side at the ongoing Africa U20 Cup of Nations.
The Junior Atlas Lions moved to the top of the group standings on Thursday evening after edging Kenya 3-2 in a thrilling encounter, pushing Nigeria into second place on goal difference.
Despite Morocco’s attacking prowess and a squad largely composed of foreign-based players, Zubairu remains confident in his team’s ability to rise to the challenge.
“Morocco have more players playing abroad, but we’ll take each game as it comes,” Zubairu stated. “The match against Tunisia is behind us now. How we approach Morocco is for our internal strategy, but rest assured, we will find a way to beat them.”
The crucial group-stage match between Nigeria and Morocco is scheduled for May 4.
