Former Nigerian international Mutiu Adepoju has issued a stern warning to the Super Eagles players, urging them not to underestimate any of their group stage opponents at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria has been placed in Group C for the 2025 AFCON, where they will face Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.

Adepoju, who played for Real Sociedad, emphasized the importance of thorough preparation.

“There are no small teams in Africa anymore. We need to prepare properly and give our best when the time comes,” he said. “On paper, it might seem challenging, but it’s not impossible.”

Regarding Tunisia, Adepoju dismissed any notions of seeking revenge.

“There’s no need for revenge. We just need to stay focused. We know what happened in that previous encounter, but I believe our time will come, and we will win,” he told Brila FM.
