West Bromwich Albion have opened talks with Nigeria international Josh Maja over a new deal.
Maja, who arrived at The Hawthorns from French side Girondins Bordeaux in 2023, quickly became a vital figure in the Baggies’ attack.
The 26-year-old scored 12 goals in 26 games last season before an injury early in 2025 ruled him out for the rest of the campaign. He has since returned, making three appearances so far this term.
With his current contract due to expire next summer, Albion are keen to secure the forward’s future and keep him at the club beyond this season.
