The Super Eagles have finally achieved a full house in Uyo ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying double-header against Rwanda and South Africa.

Head coach Eric Chelle now has all 23 invited players at his disposal after the late arrivals of several key stars on Wednesday afternoon.

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze, Genk forward Tolu Arokodare, Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika, and Christantus Uche were the last to join camp, completing the squad.

The team had resumed training in Uyo earlier in the week with a handful of players, but the mood in camp has since been lifted with the arrival of the big names. Wednesday’s session at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium witnessed a high tempo as Chelle drilled his squad on tactical shapes, ball circulation, and pressing patterns.

Team officials confirmed that all players are fit and available for selection, with the medical staff keeping a close eye on recovery after long flights for the Europe-based contingent.

Nigeria will first host Rwanda in Uyo this weekend before traveling to Johannesburg for a tricky clash against South Africa next week. Both matches are seen as crucial in the Super Eagles’ quest to secure early qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to be co-hosted by the USA, Mexico, and Canada.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has urged fans to come out in large numbers to support the team, as victory in both fixtures could place the Super Eagles in firm control of their qualifying group.
