Scottish Premiership champions Celtic have completed the signing of Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
The 28-year-old striker has penned a one-year contract at Celtic Park, with an option to extend for a further season.
Iheanacho recently parted ways with LaLiga side Sevilla after the Spanish club terminated his contract on Monday. He registered three goals in 15 appearances across all competitions for the Rojiblancos before his exit.
A product of Manchester City’s academy, Iheanacho began his professional career at the Etihad, where he won the League Cup.
He later moved to Leicester City, making over 200 appearances and playing a pivotal role in their 2021 FA Cup triumph.
In 2024, the Nigerian international joined Sevilla but later spent the second half of the 2024/25 campaign on loan at English Championship side Middlesbrough.
Now set for a new chapter in Glasgow, Iheanacho will be aiming to add firepower to Celtic’s attack as they look to defend their league crown and compete strongly in Europe.
