Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed the signing of Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare from Belgian Pro League outfit KRC Genk.
The 23-year-old striker joins Wolves on a four-year contract with an option of a further 12 months, keeping him at the Molineux until at least 2028.
Arokodare, who impressed with his performances in Belgium since moving to Genk in 2023, became one of the most sought-after attacking options in Europe after consistently finding the back of the net for the Smurfs. His aerial presence, physicality, and ability to link up play made him a standout figure in the Belgian top flight.
Wolves, who have been in the market for additional firepower to bolster their attack, identified the Nigerian international as a key target. Negotiations between both clubs progressed swiftly, leading to the successful completion of the deal before the transfer deadline.
The Super Eagles striker, who recently bid an emotional farewell to Genk, will now look to make his mark in England’s top flight. He becomes the latest Nigerian to feature in the Premier League, joining the likes of Alex Iwobi, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Calvin Bassey.
Wolves manager Gary O’Neil welcomed the arrival of the powerful forward, highlighting his qualities and the boost he brings to the squad’s attacking options.
Arokodare could make his debut in Wolves’ next league outing, depending on fitness clearance and work permit finalization.
