Former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye has officially announced his retirement from professional football.
Ideye began his career in 2006 with Bayelsa United before moving to Ocean Boys the following year. Over the years, he plied his trade across several countries, featuring in Switzerland, France, Ukraine, Greece, China, and Turkey, before drawing the curtain on his career at Nigeria Premier Football League giants, Enyimba International.
The 35-year-old made the announcement via his social media, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to his football journey.
With 28 caps for Nigeria, Ideye was a key member of the Super Eagles squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations under the late coach Stephen Keshi.
