Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has confirmed he will make changes to his squad for Tuesday’s final group game against Congo at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.
Nigeria has already been eliminated from the competition after back-to-back defeats to Senegal and Sudan.
Speaking at Monday’s press conference, Chelle admitted the results have been disappointing but urged his players to stay focused and approach the last match with professionalism.
“For this game, there will be changes because we lost two matches, and we need to adjust some things. The reality is that we suffered defeats due to too many mistakes,” he said.
“It’s difficult for us mentally because the tournament is over, but we must return to Nigeria with something positive. Tomorrow’s match gives us a chance to correct some of our errors.
“I’m eager to see how the players will start and finish this game. As professionals, they need to remain focused, maintain the right mentality, and demonstrate their qualities.”
