Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has married his longtime Moroccan partner, Nana Bensouna, in an intimate nikkah ceremony held in Manchester, United Kingdom.
The event was attended by the couple’s parents Otunba and Yeye Jagunmola Dele and Dupe Bashiru-Kaka, alongside Mr. and Mrs. Bensouna as well as close family members.
Known for keeping his relationship private, Dele-Bashiru opted for a small, solemn gathering to seal his union with Bensouna.
The wedding comes during a pivotal summer for the Nigerian international, who is preparing for an expanded role at Lazio under new coach Maurizio Sarri. Having impressed in pre-season, featuring in friendlies against Avellino and Fenerbahce, he is expected to play a key part in the team’s Serie A campaign.
Last season, Dele-Bashiru made 20 league appearances, scoring three goals under Marco Baroni. Sarri is now counting on him for greater involvement ahead of their opener against Como on August 24.
