Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has shared the latest on his squad’s fitness ahead of their decisive Group D meeting with Sudan at the 2024 African Nations Championship.
Left-back Abdularafiu Taiwo, who was substituted for Harrison Uzondu during last Tuesday’s 1-0 loss to Senegal, is now fit and in contention for selection.
However, goalkeeper Ani Ozoemena, who missed the Senegal clash due to a knee injury, remains sidelined.
“Taiwo Abdulrafiu is okay. Unfortunately, Ani Ozoemena is still injured, so we had to bring Ebenezer in, and I have full trust in him,” Chelle told reporters on Monday.
The match will take place on Tuesday at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar. The Home Eagles currently sit bottom of Group D with no points.
