Moses Simon, now a Paris FC player, was warmly celebrated by his former fans during his return to Nantes on Saturday.

The Nigerian winger, who joined Paris FC in June for €6.5 million, started in his team’s final pre-season friendly against his old club but was taken off at halftime due to an ankle injury.

Before kick-off, Simon was given a hero’s welcome at the Stade de la Beaujoire. He entered the pitch last to a standing ovation from over 10,000 spectators, with players from both sides forming a guard of honor.

The club also presented him with a commemorative frame capturing his moment of triumph with the 2022 Coupe de France.

Simon, 29, arrived at Nantes in 2019 and quickly became a fan favourite for his electrifying dribbles and blistering pace. In 171 Ligue 1 appearances for the club, he registered 33 goals and 38 assists, leaving a lasting mark on the Beaujoire faithful.
