Nigeria’s Super Falcons have retained their 36th position in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking released on Thursday by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).

Despite clinching a record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title last month in Morocco, Justine Madugu’s team saw no movement in the global standings.

However, the Falcons remain Africa’s top-ranked women’s team, ahead of South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses, Zambia’s Copper Queens, and Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses.

On the global stage, Spain reclaimed the top spot following their runner-up finish at the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025. The United States dropped to second, while Sweden held on to third.

The next FIFA Women’s World Ranking is scheduled for release on December 11, 2025.
