Leicester City have reached an agreement with Besiktas for the transfer of Wilfred Ndidi in a deal worth around £8.5m.
The Nigerian midfielder had drawn interest from several clubs, including Premier League side Everton, Turkish giants Fenerbahce, and two Bundesliga teams, following the reduction of his buy-out clause after Leicester’s relegation.
However, Besiktas manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has successfully convinced Ndidi that his future lies in Turkey.
The 27-year-old is expected to travel to Istanbul within the next 24 hours to undergo a medical ahead of completing the move.
